Chelsea Hotel

The Chelsea Hotel in Downtown Toronto is undergoing a revision into a mixed-use development containing 3 street-related mid-rise towers and podiums, and a new park with connections across the site to accommodate an expansion of the hotel. We developed a functional design solution to address parking and loading challenges, reviewed and determined appropriate site accesses, and prepared an inclusive transportation assessment to support the rezoning application. Based upon its location within the downtown core, a potential PATH connection was considered as part of our focus on the pedestrian network and activity.

A development plan was prepared that responded to the site context, the needs of a hotel in downtown Toronto, as well as site size and constraints. BA Group undertook a review of the key transportation elements related of the proposed development application to the City to facilitate development of the hotel.

Hyatt Place

Hyatt Place is a proposed 32-storey tower at 203 Jarvis Street, containing 240 hotel suites and 179 rental units. From a transportation design perspective, the site has required BA Group’s expertise in planning for and accommodating the movement of people and vehicles on a site with constrained access conditions.
