Traffic Management During Construction

YONGE STATION, SHEPPARD SUBWAY

The new Sheppard Line subway station at Yonge St. was complex to plan and construct because it is located above the existing Sheppard Station on the Yonge Line, and beneath the busy intersection of Yonge St. and Sheppard Ave. BA Group was retained by NORR Partnership to meet the needs of reviewing agencies, property owners, and ratepayers, while minimizing negative impact to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

HANLAN FEEDERMAIN

The Region of Peel’s Water and Wastewater Masterplan identified water supply requirements for providing additional water to the Hanlan Reservoir and Pumping station in support of planned intensification.

BA Group developed a series of TMDC strategies to minimize travel delay and disruption to people and goods for the duration of construction. The primary focus of our work is to provide safe travel routes for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles during construction period.

QUEEN'S QUAY REVITALIZATION

The Queens Quay is undergoing a long-term revitalization project where BA is advising on Traffic Management During Construction for event planning, property access, city approvals, area way finding, directional signage, construction phasing strategies, and temporary traffic signal co-ordination. The revitalization project is expected to be complete in tandem with the Pan Am Games.

Finch West Subway Station

A series of traffic management during construction (TMDC) plans were developed for the numerous construction phases during the development of the Finch West Subway Station located at the intersection of Keele Street and Finch Avenue West.

BA Group and Bondfield were part of a team of selected constructors for the subway line expansion. Together, we assisted with the development of traffic management plans to minimize traffic disruption for the duration of construction. We reviewed pedestrian operations, bicycle operations, transit operations, vehicular operations and EMS and Fire Service operations. The primary focus of our work was to provide safe travel routings during the construction period.
