Currently rural, the Northwest Brampton Planning Area is some 2,500 hectares and is meant to accommodate 80,000 people. BA Group is working with local and regional governments to establish a suitable policy framework, network plan, and finance plan throughout the 25-year development period.
This project, in the Town of Bradford, West Gwillimbury, involves an expansion to accommodate 70,000 new residents and 40,000 jobs. A great deal of municipal involvement occurred on this project, integrating land uses to promote a balanced live-work relationship with the community.
Awarded first prize in the Ontario competition on innovative, transit-oriented community planning, Seaton preserves a high-yield agricultural industry, curbing urban sprawl. BA Group helped plan Seaton’s road and transit networks, which will both function internally and link the community with parts of the Greater Toronto Area.
