Friday Harbour Resort

Friday Harbour is a 40-acre all-season resort and a top vacation destination located on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Innisfil. The mixed-use development is comprised of a full-service marina, boardwalk, golf course (The Nest Golf Course), forest and wetland nature preserve with walking and cycling trails, and outdoor adventure centre set within a residential and retail development.

Geranium Corporation retained BA Group over 15 years ago to provide transportation advisory services in support of the new development and through its multiple phases. Since then, Friday Harbour Resort has retained BA Group to continue to provide transportation advisory services through a parking and traffic monitoring program as future phases are developed.

T3 Bayside

Hines Canada has retained BA Group to provide transportation consulting services supporting the proposed redevelopment of the Bayside lands within the East Bayfront Precinct in the Toronto Waterfront lands. The Bayside development area will comprise seven buildings accommodating residential condos and rental units, office and retail uses with active social uses at build-out. BA Group has undertaken a transportation study related to parking, access, traffic, and loading of the development plans as part of the Site Plan Approval process, including responding to comments and traffic management during construction for the T3 Bayside development.

Port Credit West Village – Brightwater

The Mississauga Brightwater Waterfront Master Plan implements the vision of a vibrant, new waterfront neighbourhood village on the shores of Port Credit. The award-winning Master Plan emphasizes the creation of a new liveable, sustainable community through the regeneration of a brownfield site.

BA Group was retained by Port Credit West Partners to provide urban transportation advisory services to ensure that the site is developed in a transit-supportive manner, with walkable streets and active transportation connections. The internal road network considers walkability and pedestrian scale through reduced pavement widths, pedestrian and cycling mews running through the site's centre, and a transit loop designed to function as a turning facility for future rapid transit on Lakeshore Road. Additional measures are proposed, including reduced and shared parking and loading facilities, bicycle parking, car share facilities, and real-time transit and travel information.

The Canadian Institute of Planners has recognized Brightwater with an Award of Planning Merit for Healthy Communities. Brightwater represents the culmination of over ten years of collaborative planning and design to remediate the highly contaminated 72-acre Imperial Oil site along Mississauga's central waterfront.
