Costco Distribution Centre

BA Group provides ongoing services for a large scale Costco distribution centre located in the City of Vaughan.  The facility serves warehouses and business centres and provides commissary and e-comerce facilities for all of central and southwest Ontario, with a volume of over 900 trucks per day as part of a 10-year projection plan. BA Group has completed analysis related to access, gatehouse operations and parking related to both the original development applications and planned expansions.  BA Group has participated in real estate feasibility review, stakeholder consultation, Secondary Plan review as well as Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan Amendment applications.

CN Milton Logistics Hub, Milton

BA Group provided transportation advisory services to CN Rail for a proposed rail-to-truck intermodal logistics hub in the Town of Milton. As part of this work, BA Group participated in a comprehensive Review Panel process undertaken by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) to review the environmental impact of the proposed logistics hub.

BA Group undertook extensive traffic analyses to assess the impacts of the proposed hub, developed microsimulation models of the surrounding road network and the internal gate facilities, developed mitigation measures, created functional designs for the driveway facilities and related roadway improvements, reviewed and assessed traffic studies undertaken by others, and provided expert testimony before the CEAA Review Panel.

60 Birmingham Distribution Centre

BA Group was retained to assist with transportation advisory services supporting a Site Plan Application to construct a new Class A urban distribution and logistics facility at the closed Campbell’s Soup factory location. The proposed development included three single-storey warehouse buildings and the retention of portions of the existing 1931 and 1944 infrastructure facades along Birmingham Street.
