Steven Krossey P. Eng.

Steve joined BA Group in 2000, immediately after graduating from the University of Waterloo.  His extensive experience with a wide variety of projects throughout the region plus his detailed knowledge of transportation planning, modelling, design and policy allow him to be an integral part of dozens of noteworthy projects.

Steve is undertaking the establishment of training and education programs to enrich the experience and qualifications of all staff members at BA Group.  He has developed BA Group’s transportation modelling practice which provides cutting-edge traffic and pedestrian modelling services for our clients.  He has successfully represented his clients at the Ontario Municipal Board.

Steve acted as the transportation advisor for the Canadian Green Building Council’s working group, which developed Canadian standards for LEED® for Neighbourhood Developments (LEED ND).  The working group outlined guidelines on: developing nationwide standards for the design of neighbourhoods; implementation of Transportation Demand Management Programs; and identifying sustainable locations for development.  Steve was then involved in the redevelopment of a former military housing site at Surrey Park in Oakville, Ontario, which was one of the first accredited LEED ND developments in Canada.

Steve has been involved in dozens of urban development projects in the City of Toronto including hotels, office complexes, institutional uses, and mixed-use developments.  These projects require creative and collaborative approaches to complex urban transportation issues, sensitivity to local issues, and a deep understanding of current policies and trends.

Steve is managing BA Group’s involvement in the development of the new community of Seaton in Pickering Ontario.  Our work for the landowners group involves comprehensive transportation modelling and design services for this new community of 70,000 people and 35,000 jobs.
