Mark Jamieson MBA P. Eng

Since joining BA Group in 2005, Mark has established himself as an invaluable member of BA Group’s consulting staff and has completed a variety of transportation studies for several large residential, institutional, and commercial developments in and around the GTA. His skills include transportation planning, traffic engineering, and functional design. Mark is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and is a past-president of the ITE Toronto Section executive committee. Mark is a registered member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), the Canadian Parking Association (CPA), and the Association for Commuter Transportation of Canada (ACT Canada).

Mark has a passion for sustainable transportation and actively promotes its benefits through sustainable planning and Transportation Demand Management (TDM). Mark has drafted guidelines for both ACT Canada and the Smart Commute Association that are utilized by municipal staff and TDM practitioners across the country. Mark has been working with the Region of York to develop a new approach for implementing TDM on a Region-wide scale. Mark has also recently been involved with several high profile retail development applications including a dynamic new film-studio/commercial development located near Leslieville called StudioCentre and an expansion to the extremely popular Toronto Premium Outlets Shopping Centre in Halton Hills. Mark is also actively working on several high profile expansions for institutional uses including expansions to West Park Healthcare Centre, Seneca College’s King Campus, Seneca College’s Newnham Campus, and Ryerson University.

Most recently, Mark has been working through the municipal approvals and detailed design of a 40+ storey office tower at 81 Bay Street across the street from the Air Canada Centre. The project is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Cambridge, Hines and Metrolinx as the project will feature a new 2 level GO bus station in the base of the building that will replace the current Union GO Bus Terminal across the street from Union Station.
