After 41 excellent years, Vince Cudia has indicated that he intends on starting the path to retirement. Effective Monday May 1st, Vince will be retiring from full time work at BA Group.

The year was 1982. Back in those days BA Group was a young firm with a handful of employees. Sony sold the first CD Player, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms had just come into effect, the first Lotto 6/49 draw happened (with a jackpot of $500,000), and the band Survivor released “Eye of the Tiger”.  More importantly, Vince Cudia was lured away from Marshall Macklin Monaghan (now WSP) to bolster our rapidly expanding functional design practice.   After overcoming the shock of working with Ralph Bond on many projects, Vince quickly became one of our foremost design experts and was instrumental in establishing BA as The Go to Firm for solving complex design challenges, including many projects in Vancouver and Calgary.  Much of this work was accomplished before AutoCAD arrived, with hand sketches and drawings as well as Styrofoam 3d models!   Vince’s work and thoroughness have earned him a loyal following of many clients who value his cut to the chase straightforward style.

During Vince’s transition, he will be working periodically to hand-off projects to other Project Managers at BA Group.

On behalf of everyone at BA Group, we want to extend our sincere gratitude for your efforts over the years. Your retirement is well earned and deserved and we wish you well in your retirement.
