Carol Chan, BES

Transportation Planner

After spending her final co-operative term at BA Group, Carol joined the firm full-time in 2008 upon completion of her Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Urban Design Specialization) degree from Waterloo. Carol is especially interested in helping to advance BA Group’s practice in sustainable urban transportation planning.

Carol provides exceptional planning and analysis skills to our clients’ projects, and, in her short time with BA Group, has contributed to several major projects, including: Sustainable Transportation Land Development Guidelines (for ACT Canada); Strachan Avenue Grade Separation Study; the Foundry District; and Trump International Hotel + Tower; as well as Parking Management Strategies for both Mississauga City Centre and the City of Ottawa.

Still actively involved with the University of Waterloo, Carol volunteers her time to the School of Planning to critique students’ final projects and presentations.  She is also a provisional member of both the Ontario Professional Planning Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners, and is working towards her MCIP RPP (Registered Professional Planner) designation.
