Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 is National Denim Day for The Cure Foundation.
CURE is a national foundation that provides funding for basic and clinical research for breast cancer. Their mission is to work in tandem with women and men, health professionals, other foundations and Canadian teaching hospitals to improve breast cancer outcomes for those affected. The foundation will support researchers, laboratories, projects and equipment which can help realize these goals.
In May 1997, CURE inaugurated NATIONAL DENIM DAY, its main fundraiser. This event is held on the Tuesday following Mother’s Day. Companies’ employees across Canada join together in wearing denim and a “pink flower ribbon” for a suggested donation of $5 to the CURE Foundation.
For the third year in a row, BA Group is proud to be participating in National Denim Day!
