Did you know you can take your bike on the GO Train anytime outside of weekday rush hours?
GTA cycling and transit advocate Donald Wiedman felt that not enough people knew, so he created GO-By-Bike, a green tourism and transportation pilot project.
Starting Sunday June 1st (and every Sunday for the whole summer), cyclists can travel by GO Transit to Ajax GO Station, at which point they will enjoy a 15k ride which touches on the TransCanada Trail, the Waterfront Trail, and three city waterfronts: Ajax (bluff), Pickering (bay) and Scarborough (beach). The GO-By-Bike trail ends at Rouge Hill Station, where riders can hop back on the GO Train to return home.
BA Group is proud to be a sponsor of this healthy, sustainable tourism attraction.
